Day-to-Day Responsibilities as a Special Credits Specialist

As a Special Credits Specialist at JPMorgan Chase, you will support Credit Officers with the administration of problem credit loans. This includes preparing management reports and overseeing the reporting process. You will be integral to maintaining Chase’s internal customer satisfaction through timely follow-up and resolution of issues.

This role is ideally suited to those who enjoy a collaborative environment and thrive in problem-solving. The responsibilities are diverse and multi-faceted. They include managing all aspects of the loan process and coordinating loan documentation to facilitate successful loan closings. You will generate and work with reports to support the workout process, including maturity, delinquency, and exceptions. Furthermore, you will contact customers to request required financial information and handle mail processing, including sending legal packages and loan documentation to outside counsel.

Adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance standards in all activities is crucial. The role demands efficient multi-tasking and a strong sense of urgency in daily operations. It is also essential to pass quality control and quality assurance tests on all tasks performed.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you need a minimum of 2 years of related experience in the financial industry, business loan processing, commercial lending support environment, and/or loan operations. Also, you need to demonstrate an ability to review and understand complex loan structures and business loan documentation.

Other required skills include proficiency in Microsoft applications, analytical/problem-solving skills, and general administrative skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to focus on accuracy with attention to detail, and the capability to work effectively in a team environment are also essential.

Preferred qualifications include a college degree or equivalent, working knowledge of the Bank’s products, services, policies/procedures, and creative process improvement skills.
