Job Opportunities at Global Payments
Global Payments offers numerous job opportunities, one of which is the role of Financial Institutions Relationship Manager (FI-RM). This position involves prospecting and running presentations, both in person and remotely, to business owners or Financial Institution (FI) Partners. As an FI-RM, you will report to a District Manager and receive coaching from a Director.
The job activities involve using Atlas CRM and Salesforce to explain the company’s value proposition to clients, upselling current clients on other Global Payments products and services, and maintaining regular communication with the Financial Institutions District Manager.
Training and Compensation
During the training period, your District Manager will accompany you on initial appointments to train you on the short-cycle sales process using Atlas – a tablet-based CRM platform used for lead generation, sales presentations, on-the-spot client financial analysis, and paperless contract processing.
In terms of compensation, the company offers a base salary of $40,000+, with an annual On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential of over $120,000. Additionally, you have the opportunity to earn residual income from your hard work and extra financial incentives for exceeding quota and achieving sales goals.

Additional Responsibilities
As an FI-RM, you will also be responsible for prospecting new clients into the North America Merchant Services realm, maintaining existing/prospective client records in the CRM system, engaging with your assigned FI partner through weekly branch visits, monthly training sessions, bank meetings, and huddles. You’ll also be responsible for achieving minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments, to secure quota.
Desired Skills & Capabilities
Global Payments looks for individuals with excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills. Applicants should work well independently and as part of a team, have a high sense of urgency and innate sales talent, and enjoy cold-calling and speaking with people face to face. Experience with Pipeline lead management is also desirable.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and live in an area relative to the job posting location. In accordance with state law, a background check will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment, and a drug screening will be required on or near the 60th day of employment.
