This position comes with a hiring range of $77,510 to $127,338. However, it’s important to note that actual pay may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and market variables. Key Responsibilities
As part of the Business Banking Group, the successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of tasks. These include developing a portfolio of customers, prospects, and Centers of Influence (COIs) through networking and other business development efforts. The candidate will also be tasked with the sale of bank products to both new and existing customers. Additionally, the role involves partnering with assigned branches for cross-sale opportunities and customer relationship management.
The successful candidate will also be expected to manage relationships with key Community Partners, source, evaluate, and recommend new banking opportunities for loan and deposit relationships. These relationships will include both Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) relationships. The role also involves managing a portfolio of Business Banking (BB) clients to help minimize risk for the bank, cross-sell to the book of business, and create a positive customer experience.
Furthermore, the candidate will need to coordinate calling and relationship management activities with multiple internal business partners including commercial, investments, treasury, retail, and insurance. Conducting preliminary underwriting and structuring of credit requests, and maintaining an internal bank contact management system, including full history, also form part of the job description.
Qualifications and Skills
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of training and related experience. Additionally, the candidate should have five to eight years of sales and management experience. They should also have a basic understanding of commercial businesses and banking, along with a demonstrated basic knowledge of credit with some prior credit training and sales training.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role. The candidate must also have strong sales skills in a fast-paced environment, be able to utilize a full range of prospecting sales activities, and be technologically proficient. The candidate must also be a self-starter, able to attend networking events outside of customary business hours, and able to self-generate sales prospects and pipeline.
