The BMO Financial Group is seeking a proficient, experienced, and dynamic professional to fill the position of Business Banking Relationship Manager at their office located at 6455 S. Yosemite St. This unique opportunity will allow the candidate to build and manage relationships with a portfolio of small business clients, thereby, increasing BMO’s market share. Job Role and Responsibilities
As a Business Banking Relationship Manager, your primary role will be to cultivate, build, and manage relationships with a portfolio of small business clients. This will involve applying professional consultative sales and business development practices and techniques for an assigned jurisdiction/portfolio. You will also be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and making appropriate referrals to other BMO colleagues.
Your duties will range from developing and executing sales strategies to attract new business clients, to expanding existing relationships. You will also be tasked with developing internal and external networks and referral sources to ensure ongoing growth of BMO’s business. Other responsibilities include generating appointments and opportunities to grow business results through targeted sales efforts, developing, maintaining, and executing a business plan, and identifying prospective customers to cross-sell additional products and services.
Professional Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should have between 4 – 6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You should possess strong financial analysis skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and provide actionable insights to drive business growth and mitigate risk. A strong knowledge of business banking products, lending processes, and loan documentation, and supporting policies, procedures, and technologies is also required.
Moreover, you should have strong experience with customer sales and service. You should also be technically proficient, gained through education and/or business experience. You should possess in-depth verbal & written communication skills, collaboration & team skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, influence skills, and data-driven decision making.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges between $57,500.00 – $106,500.00. This is a salaried position, and the total compensation package may vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
