Role and Responsibilities
The Business Banking Relationship Manager is a vital role within the BMO team, focusing on cultivating, developing, and managing relationships with a portfolio of small business clients. The position involves attracting new business and expanding existing relationships through professional consultative sales and business development practices.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, networking to grow BMO’s market share, generating opportunities for business growth, and establishing a rapport with clients to earn their trust. The relationship manager will also be required to understand and meet customer needs, offer financial solutions, resolve or escalate issues, and provide advice and guidance on implementing solutions.
Other duties include maintaining databases, leading change management activities, executing work to provide efficient service, and following Bank’s policies and ethical standards to prevent loss due to fraud, robbery, counterfeiting, money laundering, or defalcation. Furthermore, maintaining the confidentiality of customer and Bank information is crucial.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong financial analysis skills and a deep understanding of business banking products, lending processes, and loan documentation are necessary.
Additionally, the candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills, collaboration and team skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $63,300.00 – $117,200.00, and the pay type is salaried. BMO Financial Group offers a comprehensive compensation package, including performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
