A successful Business Banking Officer at Canandaigua National Bank has a proactive approach towards their assigned branch offices, which generally range from four to six. They are expected to reach out to businesses within the branch footprint either individually or with branch staff. A Business Banker’s work isn’t confined to the areas surrounding their assigned offices; they may accept a referral from anywhere in the market.
They are also expected to use Centers of Influence in their footprint to bring new business opportunities to CNB. Assisting Branch Manager and staff with all components of lending is another critical aspect of their job. This may include application intake, structure, rate, documentation, closing, and understanding the functionality of internal processes and systems.
Furthermore, they actively manage their client portfolio as assigned by the Business Banking Sales Manager. They also provide origination services for commercial mortgage, business start-up, and SBA loans, and coordinate loan closings with Relationship Managers.
