This role involves engaging in outbound calling activities aimed at generating new business opportunities. Additionally, you may occasionally partner with a business or commercial banker to provide expertise around business deposits and related services.
Responsibilities of a Financial Sales Manager
Sales
As a Financial Sales Manager, you will be tasked with achieving individual and team financial targets, production and relationship results relative to the specific metrics and goals assigned. You will engage with customers, prospects, and referral sources through proactive outreach, representing the Bank in the community for the purpose of generating additional business and identifying potential Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) opportunities for the Bank.
Team Management
Team management is a critical aspect of this role. You will manage performance and personnel functions for a team, ensuring operational soundness while executing on a plan to deliver results that create value for the customer and meet the financial expectations of the bank. Furthermore, you will drive accountability to role expectations, responsibilities, and authorities, provide one on one feedback and coaching to support associate development and achievement of results. You will also regularly leverage the expertise of bank partners, other managers, or teams, towards achieving set goals.
Service Standards
Our service standards are a key part of our commitment to delivering value for customers, prospects, and colleagues. As a Financial Sales Manager, you will foster collaborative partnerships and initiate conversations to uncover sales or referral opportunities.
Operations and Administration
You will also be responsible for complying with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities. This is to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory, and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions, and financial exposures.
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience, but the range is generally $105,060 to $142,140 per year. First Citizens offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits program.
Qualifications for a Financial Sales Manager Position
To qualify for a Financial Sales Manager position at First Citizens Bank, you need a Bachelor degree with a minimum of 4 years experience in a sales, customer service, lending, or financial services role, including supervisory experience. Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years experience in the same fields is acceptable.
Additional requirements include federal registration and annual renewal as required by the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing (SAFE) Act. Preferred qualifications include an understanding of business banking products and services, the ability to network and build centers of influence, business development skills, and the ability to identify, think through, and solve problems accurately and efficiently. 2+ years with business banking or business product experience is also preferred.
