Flagstar Bank is seeking a highly competent and experienced professional to fill the position of Branch Banking Leader in Hollywood, Florida. This role is pivotal in driving the bank’s growth and performance by leading a high-performing branch team. As a Branch Banking Leader, you will be tasked with coaching your team to exceed performance targets through effective teaching, training, and modeling of sales behaviors. This position requires a strong focus on sales, revenue growth, and operational integrity while delivering a high level of client service.
Key Responsibilities of a Branch Banking Leader
The responsibilities of a Branch Banking Leader at Flagstar Bank are extensive and varied. They include:
Driving Business Performance
The incumbent is expected to drive market growth of primary client relationships and achieve growth targets in financial performance. This includes deposits, loans, and non-interest income. The Branch Banking Leader will also be responsible for making sound financial decisions independently and with discretion.
Sales Leadership and Coaching
The Branch Banking Leader is also tasked with providing sales leadership and coaching. This includes creating and executing business development strategies, supporting the execution of partner-produced sales, and branch initiatives. The Leader will also be responsible for talent management functions, including hiring, performance evaluations, staff development and training, and succession planning.
Enhancing Client Experience
The Branch Banking Leader will also play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional client experience. This includes using available tools and systems for client engagement and education, fostering a culture focused on client satisfaction, and resolving problems relating to branch operations.
Managing Risks
Another essential responsibility of the Branch Banking Leader is risk management. The Leader will foster a culture of disciplined risk management, helping teams identify and mitigate reputational, regulatory, employee, and client risks. The Leader will also ensure team awareness, understanding, and adherence to all applicable bank policies and regulations.
Additional Accountabilities
The Branch Banking Leader also has additional accountabilities which include performing special projects, additional duties, and responsibilities as required. The Leader is also expected to consistently adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job and complete required compliance trainings.
Requirements for the Branch Banking Leader Role
The job requirements for this position include a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and at least five years of overall branch sales experience. Two or more years in a leadership role is also required. Additionally, this role requires registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation.
While not required, an undergraduate degree is a preferred qualification for this role.
