Role and Responsibilities
The Branch Banking Client Consultant II is tasked with the responsibility of managing client relationships, retaining clients, and facilitating introductions to key bank partners in Mortgage and Business Banking. This ensures our clients have access to experts who can guide them in achieving their financial goals.
The role also involves more intensive interactions concerning lending and basic investments, along with participation in more complex banking conversations with clients. The responsibilities of the position go beyond the traditional boundaries of customer service and delve into various aspects of banking operations.
Sales Performance
One of the key areas of focus for the Branch Banking Client Consultant II is to support team efforts in achieving growth targets in financial performance. This includes outstanding deposits, outstanding loans, and non-interest income. The Consultant seeks and delivers the right client introductions to the appropriate team members to achieve growth targets and execute successful sales initiatives.
Client Experience
Providing a positive client experience is paramount in this role. The Consultant assists with account inquiries, issues and/or complaints, resolving them through effective research and communication. The Consultant is also tasked with delivering client engagement and education to meet defined behavioral activity goals, including but not limited to NextGen and marketing campaign lead calling, setting and completing weekly appointments, and meeting client needs.
Risk Management
In the realm of Risk Management, the Consultant is expected to execute all sales, service, and banking transactions accurately and compliantly, aiming for no controllable losses. This role also involves working on moderately complex special projects and additional duties as required, while consistently adhering to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for the Branch Banking Client Consultant II position should have a High School or equivalent diploma and 4-5 years of customer service and sales experience, preferably in the financial services industry. Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z is preferred, but it can be completed after the job entry date. The candidate should also have the ability to train and mentor others, including on products and platform procedures.
Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies is preferred. This role requires an individual with a high degree of professionalism, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
