A Banking Associate at TD Bank performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. These tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about all banking products and services. The role also involves delivering end-to-end advice to customers, building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. The Banking Associate utilizes TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, deepening relationships by providing advice and guidance to attract and retain customers. They also understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Education & Experience Requirements
Candidates for the Banking Associate position are required to have at least a high school diploma or GED. At least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity, be it through volunteering, education, or military experience, is preferred. Demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, and the ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, are also preferred. Strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are key requirements for the role.
