The Banking Services Lead will be expected to perform a wide range of duties, from executing teller transactions to assisting with account maintenance. The individual will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations, delivering superior customer service, and working closely with the sales team to meet performance goals. What the Banking Services Lead Will Do
The role of a Banking Services Lead is multifaceted, encompassing various aspects of banking operations, customer service, and compliance. Here are some key duties involved:
- The Banking Services Lead will handle routine teller transactions and interact directly with customers. This includes accepting, verifying, and processing various customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, payments, transfers, and mail or night drop transactions.
- The individual will assist the Retail Operations Manager in ensuring the operational soundness of the branch, monitoring overall cash levels, and completing operational tasks.
- As a leader, the Banking Services Lead will guide the branch in providing excellent service to customers, resolving complex account issues, and protecting customers from financial scams.
- The individual will represent the bank with pride and enthusiasm, identifying and presenting new or additional products and services to the customers.
- Lastly, the Banking Services Lead is expected to maintain compliance with internal operational standards and Federal and State regulations to protect the bank and its customers.
Who Mechanics Bank is Looking For
The ideal candidate for the Banking Services Lead role is an individual with the following qualifications and skills:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of banking operations experience.
- The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
- The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a team member is critical.
- The candidate should have a deep understanding of Bank deposit products and services, Federal and State banking regulations, and retail office operations.
- Notary license is preferred but not mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive pay range of $22.00 – $30.00 per hour, along with eligibility for incentive/commission plans.
