Roles and Responsibilities
The position entails a wide array of responsibilities that are designed to provide a comprehensive experience of the banking industry. These include assisting members with their banking needs, responding to their requests, problems, or complaints in person, over the phone, and via email. A significant part of the role involves identifying and recommending Credit Union products and services to members based on their financial needs. Other responsibilities include maintaining a cash drawer, creating professional relationships with members, participating in community-related activities, attending branch meetings and training opportunities, and working on assigned projects.
Gaining Valuable Experience and Skills
The experience at Magnifi Financial is designed to be a learning journey. You will familiarize yourself with the Magnifi Financial member service standards, processing financial transactions, and the various products offered by the financial institution. The experience will also impart skills in maintaining a cash drawer, selling, and recommending products and services, and making referrals to other departments. Moreover, you will learn about deposit accounts as well as deposit compliance and industry regulations, including but not limited to BSA, Reg D, Reg CC, etc., and gain experience in applying these regulations.
Eligibility and Schedule
Aspiring candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent or be actively pursuing one. A positive attitude, communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are other prerequisites. Experience in customer service would be an added advantage. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities. The job is set to commence in Summer 2026 (May/June – August), with exact end dates to be determined upon offer. The schedule is typically 40 hours per week, from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturdays from 9 am to noon.
Remuneration and Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range of $16.95/hr. through $25.42/hr., varying based on factors such as location, internal equity, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role. In addition, employees begin accruing Paid Time Off (PTO)/Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) from the date of hire.
