The Opportunity: Temporary Position at Magnifi Financial

As a temporary employee at Magnifi Financial, you will be entrusted with various responsibilities that will enrich your understanding of the finance industry. These roles include:

  • Assisting members with their banking needs.
  • Communicating effectively with members, addressing their requests, problems, or complaints in person, on the phone, and by e-mail.
  • Identifying and recommending Credit Union products and services to members based on their financial needs.
  • Maintaining a cash drawer, ensuring accurate and efficient financial transactions.
  • Cultivating professional and lasting relationships within the banking industry.
  • Participating in community-related activities, regular branch meetings, and training opportunities.
  • Working on assigned projects, contributing to organizational goals.

This position offers hands-on experience and a wealth of knowledge that will be instrumental to your future career. In this role, you will:

  • Learn the Magnifi Financial member service standards, gaining experience working with members in a professional environment.
  • Understand the nuances of Magnifi Financial’s products and procedures.
  • Gain experience in handling a cash drawer and processing financial transactions accurately.
  • Understand the sales process, making referrals to other departments, and recommending products and services.
  • Learn about deposit compliance and industry regulations, including BSA, Reg D, Reg CC, etc., and how to apply these regulations.

Eligibility Criteria

The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or equivalent or should be actively pursuing a high school diploma. This role requires a positive attitude, good communication, and relationship-building skills. The candidate should also have the ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a fast-paced environment. Prior customer service experience of six months is a bonus.

Schedule and Benefits

The temporary position will be active in Summer 2026, with work hours typically between 9 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday, and rotating Saturdays from 9 am to noon. In addition to gaining valuable experience, employees will benefit from Paid Time Off (PTO)/Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) from the date of hire.
