What to Expect from this Position
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to perform various responsibilities that will greatly enhance your understanding of the banking industry. These tasks include assisting our members with their banking needs, responding to member requests, problems, or complaints in person, on the phone, and by e-mail. We also encourage our team members to engage in community-related activities and attend regular branch meetings to foster a sense of belonging and team spirit.
For those interested in the sales aspect of the banking industry, you will use the sales process to identify and recommend Credit Union products and services to members based on their financial needs. This position also includes maintaining a cash drawer and working on projects as assigned, providing a well-rounded experience in banking operations.
What You Will Learn
This experience will equip you with valuable skills and insights. You will learn Magnifi Financial’s member service standards and gain experience working with members in a professional environment. You will also gain experience processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently, and learn the ins and outs of Magnifi Financial’s products.
Moreover, you will learn about deposit accounts as well as deposit compliance and industry regulations, such as BSA, Reg D, Reg CC, and others. By applying these regulations, you will gain experience and a comprehensive understanding of legal compliance in the banking industry.
Education and Experience Required
We welcome individuals who have a high school diploma or equivalent or are actively pursuing a high school diploma. We value a positive attitude, communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Six months’ customer service experience is also preferred.
Schedule and Benefits
The position is available for summer 2026 (May/June – August), with an end date to be determined upon offer. The weekly schedule includes 40 hours of work, typically between 8 am and 5 pm from Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends – Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm.
As for the benefits, you will start accruing Paid Time Off (PTO)/Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) from your date of hire. The salary range for this position is $16.95/hr through $25.42/hr, varying based on factors such as location, internal equity, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
