Becoming a Banking Center Relationship Banker I at Webster
The role of a Banking Center Relationship Banker I at Webster is a critical one. It involves providing services for Banking Center customers and helping the team achieve sales, service, and operational goals in line with Webster’s Strategic Guidelines. From processing customer-related financial transactions to establishing trust and discovering the customer’s financial needs, this role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities.
A Banking Center Relationship Banker I at Webster is expected to collaborate closely with various business segments, effectively utilizing communication and active listening skills to foster strong partnerships.
What You Will Do as a Banking Center Relationship Banker I
- Respond to customers’ needs accurately and promptly, leveraging the resources and tools at your disposal.
- Evaluate clients’ needs and offer suitable financial products and services via needs-based conversations to build and deepen relationships.
- Perform routine teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and other transactions.
- Support the bank’s segmentation strategy by implementing sales, retention, and other initiatives to achieve the Banking Center’s growth and profitability objectives.
- Achieve and exceed both individual and team goals in sales, service, and operations.
- Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations as well as bank policies and procedures. Meet or exceed branch audits and operations evaluation requirements.
Skills and Abilities Required
- Ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule, including Saturdays, Sundays, and extended hours. Travel may be required to alternate Banking Centers.
- Must be a self-starter and highly motivated.
- Working knowledge of all products and services.
- Keeps current with all systems used for branch transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to foster teamwork, creating a positive working environment.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or Associate’s Degree is preferred.
- 3-4 years of customer service and needs-based banking sales experience is preferred.
The estimated salary range for this position is $18.50 per hour USD to $23.00 per hour USD. Actual salary may vary based on various job-related factors. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
