The Role of a Banking Center Region Relationship Banker 2
The role is designed to support multiple banking centers within the region. As an individual producer, the Relationship Banker 2 assists the team in achieving sales, service, and operational goals, in line with the bank’s Strategic Guidelines.
The Relationship Banker 2 is tasked with processing all customer-related financial transactions, adhering strictly to the bank’s rules, regulations, and guidelines. Moreover, excellent communication and active listening skills are essential to understand customers’ financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, and provide quality customer service.
This role also involves developing and maintaining strong partnerships with various business segments through effective collaboration and communication. The ability to supervise and coach fellow relationship bankers is also a key aspect of the role.
Key Responsibilities
The Banking Center Region Relationship Banker 2 is expected to respond promptly and accurately to customers’ needs, using available resources and tools. The role involves evaluating the financial needs of clients and offering them appropriate financial products and services through needs-based conversations to build and deepen relationships.
The Relationship Banker 2 also performs routine teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and other transactions. They are also tasked with supporting the bank’s segmentation strategy by implementing sales, retention, and other bank initiatives to achieve the Region Banking Centers’ growth and profitability objectives.
Education, Experience, and Skills
The ideal candidate for the Banking Center Region Relationship Banker 2 role should have a high school diploma/GED, with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Additionally, 2-4 years of customer service or sales experience is required, with supervisory experience being an added advantage.
The candidate should also be familiar with all products and services offered by the bank and should be able to keep up-to-date with all systems used for branch transaction processing. Strong customer service skills, the ability to support teamwork, and the capability to create a positive working environment are also crucial for this role.
The estimated salary range for this position is $21.50 to $26.00 USD per hour, although the actual salary may vary based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for incentive compensation.
