First Merchants Bank, a highly reputable financial institution, is on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic banking center manager to join its team. The bank is hopeful of appointing a manager who can provide strong leadership, implement aggressive sales plans, oversee operational soundness, and foster employee growth within the banking center. Key Responsibilities of the Role
The banking center manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing all operations and ensuring compliance within the banking center. The manager will also be expected to develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy that will drive deposit, loan, and partner referrals with both new and existing clients.
Part of this strategy also involves conducting regular outside sales calls to nurture and grow established relationships and increase the market share for the banking center. This includes the marketing of all types of business and consumer banking functions such as deposits, lending, Private Wealth, brokerage, merchant processing, treasury management, and others.
Another key responsibility of the banking center manager is to ensure that the team delivers upon Gold Standard for Service expectations. This includes promoting an understanding of business deposit and lending products, resolving customer inquiries, problems, and complaints within the scope of authority, and using service to sales techniques to provide solutions to customers for current financial needs.
Building a Strong Employee Experience
Creating a robust employee experience within the banking center is also one of the essential roles of the banking center manager. This involves implementing effective sales management routines designed to coach, teach, train, and inspect sales activities within the banking center.
Regular meetings, daily huddles, and touch bases with direct reports will also form part of the manager’s duties. The manager will also conduct formal and informal coaching conversations focusing on sales and service behavioral observation and the associated production from those behaviors.
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, the candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and have a minimum of three years of sales, management, banking, or related experience, including serving in a lead or supervisory capacity. It is also required for the candidate to register for S.A.F.E Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and obtain a Notary Public designation.
