Banking Associate at TD: A Key Player in Delivering TD’s Brand Promise
One of the impactful roles at TD is that of the Banking Associate. This position, within the Personal & Commercial Banking line of business, plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise to customers. The associate is responsible for completing everyday banking transactions accurately and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location. These tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate also delivers end-to-end advice that customers expect, building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.
Education & Experience Requirements
TD seeks candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. The ideal candidate should possess strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, demonstrated effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred but not mandatory.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
As a TD Banking Associate, you will be expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. You will also be responsible for managing wait times to meet with a banker by scheduling, rescheduling or canceling client meetings. Furthermore, you will be expected to understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy and to consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.
On the shareholder front, you will be required to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. This includes accurately processing cash, deposit, withdrawal transactions, and other account servicing requests.
