Job Description
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. It requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of 1-year experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred. Other desirable skills include strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, ability to schedule and prioritize work, sound judgment in decision making and problem solving, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Customer Accountabilities
TD Bank Banking Associates are held to high standards in customer service. They are expected to establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times, engage in lobby leadership, understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy, and consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers, and stakeholders.
Shareholder Accountabilities
Banking Associates are responsible for ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect the customer. They are also expected to accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests.
Employee/Team Accountabilities
TD Bank values teamwork and expects its Banking Associates to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning with TD Model, Brand, and Culture. Associates are also expected to be active participants in personal performance and development activities.
Physical Requirements
The job requires occasional domestic travel, frequent performance of sedentary work and multiple tasks, continuous operation of standard office equipment and response to sounds, frequent sitting, standing, and walking, occasional lifting/carrying and other physical activities.
