Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The Banking Associate is also responsible for delivering end-to-end advice to customers, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, and understanding customer financial needs to promote and educate on products and services.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Demonstrated customer service skills are preferred, and teller experience is an advantage. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required. A Notary License is preferred.
Customer, Shareholder, and Employee Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is expected to consistently provide legendary customer service, manage wait times to meet with a Banker, understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy, and ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.
For shareholder accountabilities, the associate should ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. Employee accountabilities include contributing to a positive work environment, actively seeking opportunities to improve delivery of work, and adhering to TD’s Shared Commitments.
Physical Requirements
The role involves performing sedentary work and multiple tasks. The associate will be required to respond quickly to sounds, operate standard office equipment, and concentrate for long periods of time. The role also requires occasional domestic travel.
