Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a crucial role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The professional in this role will be responsible for a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Eligibility and Experience
The ideal candidate for this role should possess a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Teller experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected, and a Notary License is preferred. TD is open to candidates with a variety of backgrounds, including education, volunteering, and military experience. The candidate should also be able to work during operating hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Customer, Shareholder, and Team Accountabilities
The Banking Associate must consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They should also ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures, adhering to required controls, critical dates, and accurate documents. The associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning to TD Model, Brand, and Culture by participating fully as a member of the team.
Physical Requirements
The role involves performing sedentary work frequently, standing and walking often, and occasionally lifting or carrying items under 25 lbs. The associate may also be required to do tasks such as squatting, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching overhead on occasion.
