A Day in the Life of a Banking Associate at TD
As a Banking Associate, you play a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. Your responsibilities include accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals.
Working at a TD Bank store location, you will perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas. These include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The role also involves building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.
It’s essential to understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, or refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Applicants for this role are required to have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience.
The bank is looking for an individual with excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Teller experience is preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. The ability to work independently, schedule and prioritize work, and make sound judgments is also essential. A Notary License is a plus.
Physical Requirements
The role of a Banking Associate is primarily sedentary work, but it does require frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.). It’s essential to be able to respond quickly to sounds and concentrate for long periods of time. Travel is occasional and will be domestic.
