Job Description and Duties
As a Banking Associate, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. They will be responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support to customers. This role is central to building trust with customers, offering consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.
The Banking Associate will perform a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services. They will also utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services. They will also be responsible for services such as opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, and digital banking services.
Education and Experience
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience and a Notary License are preferred but not required.
Other essential skills include strong organization to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to schedule and prioritize work, work independently and within deadlines, and exercise sound judgment in decision making and problem solving.
Physical Requirements
The role requires the candidate to perform several physical tasks, including sitting, standing, walking, occasional lifting/carrying (both under and over 25 lbs.), squatting, bending, and kneeling. The candidate will also need to concentrate for long periods of time, apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations, and perform tasks such as reading, writing, comprehending instructions, and basic calculations.
Compensation and Growth Opportunities
TD Bank offers a competitive pay structure, with the Banking Associate role attracting a pay range of $22.00 to $27.75 per hour.
