Key Responsibilities
The Banking Associate role is multifaceted and requires proficiency in several areas. The associate is expected to perform a broad range of tasks within the store location, such as processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about TD’s various banking products and services. They are also expected to build trust with customers through educational content and tools, provide consultative support, and offer proactive insights and recommendations.
Further, the associate must utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, deepen relationships, and attract and retain customers. This includes understanding the financial needs of customers, identifying opportunities to promote and educate on products and services, and referring them to the appropriate internal Bank partner. In addition to providing excellent customer service, the associate is also expected to perform everyday banking transactions accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this role should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through various avenues, including volunteering, education, and military service. Teller experience is preferred, and the successful candidate will be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
In addition to these qualifications, the candidate should have strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated effective problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a Notary License is preferred.
Working Hours and Compensation
The position requires 20 hours of work per week. The pay details for the role range from $23.75 to $31.00 USD.
