Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. They also have the responsibility to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Qualification and Skills
Candidates for the Banking Associate role must have a high school diploma or GED. A year’s experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred. Teller experience is also preferred. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are among the skill sets required for the job.
Physical Requirements
The role involves both sedentary and physical work. The Banking Associate may have to stand or walk frequently, occasionally lift or carry items under 25 lbs., and perform tasks that require reaching forward, bending, or squatting. Domestic travel may be required occasionally.
