Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate will be responsible for delivering the TD’s brand promise at the store location. They will accurately complete everyday banking transactions, provide advice, and offer educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Key tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, providing advice and guidance to customers, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, and identifying opportunities to promote and educate on products and services. The Banking Associate will also be responsible for managing customer interactions, servicing customer accounts, ensuring a positive customer experience, and much more.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. Other skills and abilities required for this role include strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. Teller experience is also preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
Banking Associates are expected to provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They are also required to manage wait times, engage in lobby leadership, understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy, and ensure tasks are performed within established policy and procedures.
From a shareholder’s perspective, Banking Associates should ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. This includes accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions, following customer authentication principles, and maintaining cash limits.
