Key Responsibilities of a Banking Associate
The Banking Associate plays an integral role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a branch level. They are responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on various banking services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. This role involves a broad range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
The Banking Associate is also tasked with building trust with customers through educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations. They are expected to accurately complete everyday banking transactions and uncover customer financial needs, providing education on products, services, and tools or referring to the appropriate expert when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants for the Banking Associate position should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated customer service skills and teller experience. Applicants should also possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is also preferred.
