Payment Details and Working Hours
The Banking Associate position offers a competitive pay scale ranging from $22.00 to $27.75 USD per hour. The role is part-time, requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week. TD’s compensation policies and practices are designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they advance in their roles. The actual base pay may vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and the specific business and organizational needs.
Job Description and Scope
The Banking Associate is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The role involves building trust with customers, providing consultative support, and promoting products and services that meet customer needs. The Associate is expected to utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and advocate with proactive insights and recommendations.
Education and Experience
Applicants for the Banking Associate role are required to have at least a high school diploma or GED. Ideal candidates should have at least one year of experience working with customers and demonstrate strong customer service skills. Teller experience is preferred, and applicants should be prepared to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate plays a pivotal role in providing legendary customer service and nurturing customer relationships. They are expected to refer customers to Store colleagues and partners to support broader, more complex financial needs, as well as ensure compliance with all internal and external audit and regulatory requirements. In addition, they are responsible for accurately processing cash, deposit, and withdrawal transactions, adhering to company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect the customer.
Employee/Team Accountabilities and Physical Requirements
The Banking Associate is an active participant in personal performance and development activities and collaborates with team members to contribute to the success of the team and organization. Physical requirements for the role include performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and moving safely in confined spaces. The role may require occasional domestic travel.
