Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. They are accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice to customers. The role requires performing a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location like processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Moreover, the Banking Associate is responsible for delivering end-to-end advice customers expect. This includes building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. They utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance to ultimately attract, and retain the customer.
Education and Experience
For this role, a high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated problem-solving skills are vital for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary, and a notary license is preferred.
Customer Accountabilities
As a Banking Associate, it’s crucial to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The Associate manages wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings and understands and supports the Bank’s customer service strategy. They also drive referrals to Store colleagues and partners to support the broader more complex financial needs of customers.
Physical Requirements
The job involves domestic travel occasionally and continuous performing of multiple tasks. The employee will be required to operate standard office equipment continuously and respond quickly to sounds. Activities like sitting, standing, and walking are frequent, while lifting or carrying items under 25 lbs. is occasional.
