Role Overview: Banking Associate
The Banking Associate role is pivotal in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. The associate is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location. These duties include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. They deliver end-to-end advice to customers, utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, understand customer financial needs, and accurately complete everyday banking transactions.
The associate also connects with customers, provides financial advice, and deepens relationships through lead management activities. They ensure tasks are performed within established policies and procedures, and successfully complete all required job-specific and compliance-related training.
Education and Experience
The candidate should hold a high school diploma or GED, and have experience working with customers in any capacity. Demonstrated customer service skills, the ability to work during operating hours, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are preferred. The candidate is required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
Physical Requirements
The job requires occasional domestic travel and the performance of sedentary work. The candidate should be capable of responding quickly to sounds, operating standard office equipment, and performing multiple tasks. The ability to concentrate for long periods of time and apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations is essential.
