Role of a Banking Associate
As a Banking Associate, your primary role involves delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. The associate is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The scope of the role includes performing a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, from processing customer transactions to opening new accounts and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Eligibility and Skill Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with at least 1 year of customer service experience. This experience could include volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred and the candidate is expected to complete Teller training and part of platform training upon hire. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to schedule and prioritize work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customer Accountabilities and Shareholder Accountabilities
As a Banking Associate, you’ll be expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. This includes managing wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. The role also involves ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.

As a team member, you’ll be expected to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning with TD Model, Brand, and Culture.
