This part-time role consists of 20 working hours per week, with a pay scale ranging from $22.00 to $27.75 USD. Role description and Responsibilities

The Banking Associate plays a pivotal role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the Alton store location. The primary responsibilities include accurately processing everyday banking transactions, opening new accounts, and offering advice and educational support on banking services, products, and tools. The aim is to help customers achieve their financial goals. The role encompasses a wide range of tasks across various areas within the Store location.

As a Banking Associate, you will not only engage with the customers to acquire and deepen relationships but also understand their financial needs. This aids in identifying opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner. Ensuring a positive customer experience is an integral part of this role.

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate for this role is expected to have at least a high school diploma or GED. A year of experience working with customers in any capacity – be it volunteering, education, or military experience – is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills are a must for this role, along with effective problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently and within deadlines are essential for this position. Though not mandatory, a Notary License is preferred.

Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities:

The Banking Associate is also accountable for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The role also requires managing wait times and scheduling client meetings, and understanding and supporting the Bank’s customer service strategy.

As for shareholder accountabilities, the Banking Associate is required to ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. This includes accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests while adhering to required controls, critical dates, and accurate documents.

Employee/Team Accountabilities:

The Banking Associate is also expected to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning to TD Model, Brand, and Culture, and participating fully as a member of the team. Regular participation in personal performance and development activities is encouraged, along with seeking diverse feedback to continuously develop and enhance skills.

Physical Requirements:

The role involves occasional domestic travel, performing sedentary work, and multiple tasks. The Banking Associate will need to operate standard office equipment and respond quickly to sounds. The role may also require occasional lifting/carrying of items weighing up to 25 lbs.
