Banking Associate Position in North Windham, Maine

Role Expectations and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is expected to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The role involves building trust with customers through educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations. It also requires the use of TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships.
The Banking Associate is also responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, either on the teller line or on the platform while uncovering customer financial needs. They must service the customer with opening and closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, and managing issues with debit cards, credit cards, and online banking. The Associate will connect with customers, provide financial advice, and deepen relationships through lead management activities.
Education and Experience Requirements
The prospective candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers. This experience could be through volunteering, education, or military experience. The candidate should demonstrate excellent customer service skills, have the ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and have strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Teller experience is preferred, and the selected candidate will be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.
