Key Role of a Banking Associate
The Banking Associate plays a critical role in delivering TD’s brand promise to its customers. This role involves accurately completing banking transactions, providing advice and educational support on services and products, and helping customers achieve their financial goals. The scope of this position is vast, encompassing tasks such as processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, educating customers on banking products and services, and delivering end-to-end advice customers expect. This includes building trust with educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The candidate should possess at least a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of 1-year experience working with customers in any capacity is preferred. This could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines are some of the essential skills required for this position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, and having a Notary License is preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is responsible for consistently providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD products to new and existing customers. The associate is also responsible for ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.
