Job Description

The Banking Associate is integral to TD’s brand promise at a store location. Responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, this role also involves providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.

Depth & Scope

Beyond processing customer transactions and opening new accounts, the Banking Associate educates customers on banking products and services, provides consultative support, and advocates with proactive insights and recommendations. By understanding customers’ financial needs, the Banking Associate is able to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services.

The role also involves managing leads, setting appointments, and prioritizing outreach efforts to deepen relationships with customers. The Banking Associate will be expected to service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, and issues related to debit cards, credit cards, and digital banking.

Education & Experience

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, are preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a must, and a Notary License is desirable.

Customer & Shareholder Accountabilities

Ensuring legendary customer service and establishing and nurturing customer relationships are key responsibilities. The Banking Associate will also manage wait times to meet with a banker, engage in lobby leadership, and represent the first point of contact for customer inquiries. Furthermore, the Banking Associate will accurately process cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and adhere to compliance regulations and due diligence for new account openings and transactions.
