Your Role as a Banking Associate
The Banking Associate is a key player in delivering TD’s Brand promise at the store location in Morristown. This role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help Customers achieve their financial goals. The Banking Associate is expected to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within the store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Beyond transactional duties, the Banking Associate will deliver end-to-end advice customers expect: building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. They will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships, identify customer financial needs and promote and educate on products, services and tools or refer them to the appropriate expert. The Associate will also be tasked with managing customer wait times and orchestrating the customer walk-in traffic, among other responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants for the Banking Associate position should possess a high school diploma or GED and have at least 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. Teller experience is preferred but not mandatory. Other desirable skills include strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. A Notary License is also preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is responsible for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They are expected to understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy and consider the impact of decisions on the well-being of TD, its customers and stakeholders. Furthermore, the Banking Associate is expected to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.

Physical Requirements
The role of a Banking Associate requires occasional domestic travel, frequent performing of sedentary work, and operating standard office equipment continuously. The role also requires the ability to respond quickly to sounds, frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.) is occasional, while lifting/carrying (over 25 lbs.) is rare.
