Role Expectations and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate role at TD is a multifaceted position that involves a variety of tasks. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on a range of banking products and services. The role involves building trust with customers through educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.
Furthermore, with a keen understanding of customer financial needs, the Banking Associate is responsible for identifying opportunities to promote and educate on products and services, and referring customers to the appropriate team member or internal bank partner. This role also includes servicing the customer, on both the teller line and platform as needed, with tasks such as opening/closing personal deposit accounts and resolving debit card/credit card issues.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
TD is looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, effective problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also essential for this role. Teller experience is preferred, and a Notary License is a plus.
Physical Requirements and Schedule
The position involves frequent sedentary work, multitasking, and the operation of standard office equipment. The role also requires occasional domestic travel, lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.), squatting, bending, kneeling, and crawling. The candidate must be available to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
