Job Description and Duties
The Banking Associate is a key role in delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location. This role is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. This includes processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
The Banking Associate also delivers end-to-end advice that customers expect: building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. They utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships by providing advice and guidance to ultimately attract, and retain the customer. They understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and/or refer them to the appropriate team member or internal bank partner, while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Other preferred qualifications include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, strong organization skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is also preferred.
Physical Requirements
The job requires occasional domestic travel and frequent sitting, standing, and walking. The associate may need to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment continuously. They may also need to lift/carry items under 25 lbs occasionally.
