Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a critical role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the Lewiston store location. This role involves the accurate completion of everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The position requires the successful candidate to execute a wide range of tasks within the store location including but not limited to processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. The candidate should also have strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work independently and within deadlines. Teller experience and a Notary License are preferred but not mandatory.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is responsible for consistently providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. The individual should also comprehend and adhere to compliance/risk and control programs, ensuring ongoing compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements. From a shareholder’s perspective, the associate is expected to ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act.

At TD, the Banking Associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment and collaborate effectively with team members. The individual should actively seek opportunities to improve the delivery of work, enthusiastically embrace change, and model quality service at every customer interaction. Physical Requirements
The job involves performing multiple tasks that may require standing and walking frequently, lifting/carrying items occasionally, and concentrating for long periods of time. The role also requires the ability to apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations and to perform arithmetic operations regularly.
