This professional in banking will play a vital role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. The successful candidate will be accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals. The base pay offered for this role is between $22.00 – $27.75 USD, with a 40-hour weekly commitment.

Essential Duties of the Banking Associate Role

The role of a Banking Associate at TD Bank is quite varied and demands a wide range of skills and abilities. The associate is expected to perform tasks across multiple areas within a store location; including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. They will be responsible for delivering end-to-end advice customers expect: building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.

Furthermore, the Banking Associate will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships, understand customer financial needs to identify opportunities, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner, while ensuring a positive customer experience. The associate will also be required to service customers with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online (digital) banking.

Required Education & Experience for the Banking Associate Role

Applicants for the Banking Associate role are required to have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, and military experience. Other preferred qualifications include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, and a Notary License. The successful candidate will also be required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.

Customer, Shareholder, and Employee/Team Accountabilities

The Banking Associate will consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They will also be responsible for accurately processing cash/deposit/withdrawal transactions and other account servicing requests, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.

As a team player, the Banking Associate is expected to contribute to a positive work environment by aligning to TD Model, Brand, and Culture. They will actively seek opportunities to improve the delivery of work with high attention to quality standards and take ownership of their career and aspirations. They might also train and act as a mentor to newer colleagues.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The Banking Associate role at TD Bank requires occasional domestic travel and frequent sedentary work. The role also demands performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and responding quickly to sounds. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking are also part of the job. The role may also require occasional lifting/carrying of items under and over 25 lbs.
