Personal & Commercial Banking Associate: A Crucial Role in Delivering Our Brand Promise
Located in Green Brook, New Jersey, we are actively seeking a Banking Associate for our Personal & Commercial Banking line of business. This professional plays a key role in delivering the TD brand promise at a store location and is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions. Additionally, they provide advice and educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
Role Responsibilities and Scope
The Banking Associate performs a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location. These tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The associate delivers end-to-end advice customers expect, building trust with educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations. They also utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers to acquire and deepen relationships, providing advice and guidance to attract and retain the customer.
Eligibility and Experience
To be eligible for this role, a high school diploma or GED is required along with one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Other skills and qualifications essential for this role include excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong organization skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
As a Banking Associate, you will be responsible for providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You will establish and nurture customer relationships by actively listening to customer needs while engaging in additional conversations to identify any additional needs and offer a solution or partner referral. Furthermore, you will ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.

As part of the TD team, you will contribute to a positive work environment by aligning with the TD Model, Brand, and Culture. You will engage in personal performance and development activities, acting as a brand champion both internally and externally. Notably, you will actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work with high attention to quality standards.
Physical Requirements
The role of a Banking Associate involves a mix of both sedentary work and physical tasks. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, operating standard office equipment, and performing multiple tasks are part of the job. Occasional domestic travel, lifting/carrying items under 25 lbs., bending, kneeling, and reaching overhead may also be required.

The base pay for the Banking Associate role ranges from $23.75 to $31.00 USD per hour and is determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and specific business and organizational needs.
