Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at a store location. This professional in banking is accountable for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to aid customers in achieving their financial goals. The role involves various tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The Banking Associate is expected to build trust with customers, provide consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights & recommendations.
Education & Experience
The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or GED, with experience working with customers in any capacity. This experience could be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and within deadlines, and have strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a Notary License are preferred but not mandatory.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is required to consistently provide excellent customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They are responsible for establishing and nurturing customer relationships and managing wait times to meet with a Banker by scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling client meetings. The associate should be knowledgeable of and comply with TD’s Code of Conduct.
