Job Description and Responsibilities

The Banking Associate will be responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions. In addition, they will provide advice and educational support on TD’s services, products, and tools to assist customers in achieving their financial goals. Key responsibilities include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.

The ideal candidate will also be tasked with advocating proactively for customers, offering insightful recommendations, and utilizing TD’s systems and tools to deepen relationships. A significant part of the role involves understanding customer financial needs to identify opportunities to promote and educate on products and services.

Education and Experience Required

TD is looking for candidates with at least a high school diploma or GED. A minimum of one year’s experience working with customers in any capacity, which could include volunteering, education, or military experience. Other preferred qualifications include teller experience, excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Customer, Shareholder, and Employee Accountabilities

The Banking Associate’s role extends beyond regular banking transactions. They are expected to consistently provide legendary customer service, establish and nurture customer relationships, manage wait times, and understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy. In addition, they will need to ensure compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.

For shareholders, the Banking Associate will ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. They will be accountable for cash drawers, including maintaining cash limits and securing cash drawers/stations/balances.
