Responsibilities of a Banking Associate at TD

The Banking Associate plays a key role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. The role involves processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on various banking products and services. The associate is also responsible for building trust with customers, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights and recommendations.

Another crucial aspect of the role is utilizing TD’s systems and tools to interact with customers and deepen relationships. The Banking Associate helps customers understand their financial needs and educates them on relevant products and services. The associate also services the customer with opening/closing personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, and digital banking.

Qualifications and Experience Required

The qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Teller experience is preferred, and candidates are required to complete Teller training and part 1 of platform training upon hire.

Prospective candidates should possess excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and a Notary License is preferred.

Customer and Employee Accountabilities

The Banking Associate is tasked with providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. They are responsible for establishing and nurturing customer relationships, managing wait times, and engaging in lobby leadership.

Additionally, the Banking Associate plays a part in fostering a positive work environment by aligning to TD’s Model, Brand, and Culture. They actively seek opportunities to improve delivery of work and take ownership of their career and aspirations.

Physical Requirements of the Role

The role involves occasional domestic travel, frequent sedentary work, and continuous performance of multiple tasks. The associate is required to respond quickly to sounds and must be proficient in reading, writing, comprehending instructions, and basic arithmetic.
