Role and Responsibilities of a Banking Associate at TD Bank
A Banking Associate at TD Bank plays a pivotal role in delivering the bank’s brand promise at the store level. This professional is responsible for accurately completing everyday banking transactions, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
The role requires the associate to perform a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a store location. These tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers about all banking products and services. The associate is also responsible for delivering end-to-end advice to customers, utilizing TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, understanding customer financial needs, and accurately completing everyday banking transactions.
Education & Experience Requirements
Applicants for the Banking Associate position should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with customers. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated customer service skills, teller experience, and strong organizational skills. A notary license is also preferred.
Physical Requirements
The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional domestic travel. The associate will be operating standard office equipment continuously and will occasionally be required to move safely in confined spaces. The role also involves performing multiple tasks and concentrating for long periods of time.
