Role and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays an instrumental role in ensuring the delivery of TD’s brand promise. The position is responsible for completing everyday banking transactions accurately and offering advice and educational support on banking services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
This role encompasses a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, educating customers on banking products and services, and offering advice and guidance to deepen relationships with customers. The Banking Associate also plays a pivotal role in identifying customers’ financial needs and providing relevant solutions or referrals to the appropriate expert or internal bank partner.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants are expected to have a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred. The role demands excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, and a Notary License is preferred.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
The Banking Associate is entrusted with delivering exceptional customer service, establishing and nurturing customer relationships, and managing customer inquiries and appointments. They are also expected to ensure compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements, and to abide by TD’s Code of Conduct.
From the shareholders’ perspective, the Associate is expected to ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulations when completing operational activities. This includes accurately processing transactions, adhering to required controls, and following customer authentication principles.
