Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Banking Associate plays a crucial role in delivering TD’s brand promise at the store location. This role is responsible for completing everyday banking transactions accurately, providing advice, and offering educational support on services, products, and tools to help customers achieve their financial goals.
The Banking Associate’s duties span multiple areas within a store location. These tasks include processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services. The role also involves providing end-to-end advice customers expect by building trust through educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.
Furthermore, the Banking Associate will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, acquire and deepen relationships, and understand customer financial needs. This understanding will help in identifying opportunities to promote and educate customers on products and services while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Education & Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, along with at least one year of customer service experience. This experience can be demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military service. Other preferred qualifications include teller experience, strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a Notary License.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
As a Banking Associate, you will consistently provide legendary customer service, manage wait times, engage in lobby leadership, understand and support the Bank’s customer service strategy, and drive referrals to Store colleagues and partners. From a shareholder perspective, the role requires ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations to minimize risk and protect the customer.
Employee/Team Accountabilities
Part of the role involves contributing to a positive work environment, being an active participant in personal performance and development activities, collaborating with team members, and actively seeking opportunities to improve the delivery of work with high attention to quality standards.
Physical Requirements
The role involves domestic travel on an occasional basis, performing sedentary work frequently, performing multiple tasks continuously, and operating standard office equipment continuously. Other physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking frequently, and occasional lifting/carrying (under and over 25 lbs.).
