Job Description and Responsibilities
The Banking Associate is a key player in TD’s brand promise delivery at a store location. This crucial role involves accurately completing everyday banking transactions, advising, and providing educational support on services, products, and tools to assist customers in achieving their financial goals. The scope of the job includes a wide range of tasks across multiple areas within a Store location, such as processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on all banking products and services.
As a Banking Associate, you will be expected to deliver end-to-end advice to customers, build trust through educational content and tools, provide consultative support, and advocate with proactive insights & recommendations. Utilizing TD’s systems and tools, you will engage with Customers to acquire and deepen relationships, understand customer financial needs, identify opportunities to promote and educate on products, services, and refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner.
Qualifications and Skills
Interested candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least a year of customer service experience, which can be demonstrated through any of the following: volunteering, education, or military experience. Other desirable skills include strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Customer, Shareholder, and Employee Accountabilities
As a TD Banking Associate, your responsibilities will be divided into various accountabilities. Under Customer Accountabilities, you will be expected to consistently provide legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, educating, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers.
Shareholder Accountabilities include ensuring compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.
