Role and Responsibilities

The Banking Associate is a pivotal role in TD’s commitment to delivering on its Brand promise. The associate will handle everyday banking transactions with accuracy, offer advice, and provide educational support on banking services, products, and tools to assist customers in achieving their financial goals. The role encompasses a vast range of tasks, from processing customer transactions and opening new accounts to educating customers on TD’s array of banking products and services.

With a focus on customer-centricity, the role involves building customer trust through educational content and tools, providing consultative support, and proactive insights and recommendations. The Banking Associate will utilize TD’s systems and tools to engage with customers, understand their financial needs, and promote relevant products, services, or refer them to the appropriate team member or internal Bank partner.

Qualifications and Experience

TD Bank is seeking a candidate with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience. This experience could be from various fields, including volunteering, education, and military service. Teller experience is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants are required to have excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also necessary, and a Notary License is preferred.

Physical Requirements

The role may require some domestic travel, and associates will need to perform multiple tasks and operate standard office equipment. They may need to respond quickly to sounds and should be comfortable with sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting or carrying. Good concentration and mathematical skills are also essential.
