Role and Responsibilities of a Banking Associate
In the role of a Banking Associate, you will be an essential part of delivering TD’s Brand promise at a store location in Philadelphia. Your responsibility will include accurately completing everyday banking transactions and providing advice and support to customers on services, products, and tools to help them achieve their financial goals.
You will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks, including processing customer transactions, opening new accounts, and educating customers on banking products and services. You will also deliver end-to-end advice customers expect by building trust through educational content & tools, providing consultative support, and advocating with proactive insights & recommendations.
Required Skills and Experience
As a Banking Associate, you must have a high school diploma or GED. One year of customer service experience, preferably in banking, is preferred but not required. Other requirements include strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Notary License is preferred but not required.
Customer and Shareholder Accountabilities
Your role will involve providing legendary customer service while transacting, promoting, and referring TD Products to new and existing customers. You will also ensure ongoing compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements and maintain appropriate records of action plans. As a Banking Associate, you will also ensure compliance when completing operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act to minimize risk and protect the customer.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
As a Banking Associate, you may need to travel domestically on occasion. The role involves performing multiple tasks, operating standard office equipment, and responding quickly to sounds. You may also need to move safely in confined spaces occasionally, lift and carry items, and concentrate for long periods of time. You must also be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and apply common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations.
